If there are plants and rock features lining your pond, now is a good time to inspect those as well. Make sure that they aren’t blocking the pool’s water flow. Trim back plants that have become overgrown that may be blocking the water circulation.
You can take one final step and turn off the water pump. Wait for 24 hours, and then check your pond again. If the water level dropped significantly, it’s time to call in the professionals.
